With the brawlin’ Hurricanes coming into town a week after their highlight-reel scrap with Florida International, a game that would not have otherwise been on the national radar is a bit more interesting, particularly considering that Miami will be playing without 13 of its players.

That doesn’t necessarily level the competitive playing field, according to head coach Ted Roof.

You look at where [Miami’s] recruiting classes have been ranked over the last several years. And it’s not like they’re going to fall off the side of a mountain because they’ve lost a few guys.

Nonetheless, Duke will try to push them off the plank this Saturday in Wallace Wade.
